Bandipora girl Sabkat Malik Wins 9 National Golds, Ready to Conquer International Level in Martial Art

Sabkat Malik, a 20-year-old girl hailing from Vijpara village a remote area of Bandipora district in North Kashmir, has emerged as a beacon of inspiration and excellence in the realm of Martial Arts.
As per News Agency Buland Awaaz News (BAN)Sabkat Malik was labelled as “breaking barrier” of martial arts sports by her coach Muzaffer Ahmad. Her remarkable journey, marked by sheer dedication and unwavering determination, has seen her secure an astounding nine national gold medals, solidifying her place as a force to be reckoned with in the field.

Reflecting on her journey, Sabkat reminisces, “My journey started when I was in 6th class, fueled by an innate passion for Martial Arts.She have already played in 10 Nationals, clinching gold in each, my resolve was further fortified during an international event in Bangkok, where I proudly secured the 9th position. Next year, I am geared up to represent my nation on the grand stage of Martial Arts in Abu Dubai.
However, Sabkat’s accomplishments have not been bereft of challenges. In a society where women’s empowerment has made strides, she still confronts the harsh reality of gender-based taunts and skepticism. She sheds light on this, stating, “Despite advancements, detractors mock girls venturing into such fields. Initially, my father faced criticism, being told that I was squandering my time.However, those cynics now stand as mere spectators witnessing my triumphs.”
