J&K’s Fiza Nazir Makes History as First Indian Woman to Win Gold at Asian MMA 2023

Srinagar, Dec (KNS): Fiza Nazir, a rising martial artist from Jammu and Kashmir, made history by becoming the first Indian woman to clinch a gold medal in the senior women’s -56.7 kg category at the 2023 Asian MMA Championship in Bahrain from December 5-16.

As the first Indian woman to achieve this milestone, Fiza’s dedication and focus on her dreams have consistently showcased her prowess on grand stages.

Training in Asia’s one of the biggest MMA school Fiza is looking forward to represent India again in world championship which will be held later this year.


She expressed her gratitude her sponsors TCI Cements, TGH and her family and coaches.

Fiza’s impressive track record includes three international gold medals, a world championship title, 12 national medals, and four federation cups.
