7th Pay Commission DA Hike: Before the new year, the state government has given a big gift to the employees and pensioners of the state. In fact, his dearness allowance has been increased by 4 percent. The benefit of this increase will be made available to them from the month of January of the new year. Under the commission, the dearness allowance of all state employees has been increased by 4 percent. This increase will be applicable from 1 July 2022.

Payment of 6 months arrear amount also
Earlier in the month of September, a 3 percent increase in DA was announced by the Odisha government. Now once again the DA of state employees has been increased from 34 percent to 38 percent under the Seventh Pay Commission. This is the second increase in dearness allowance in this year. Along with this, due to the implementation of the rule from July 1, 2022, the amount of arrears of 6 months will also be paid to the employees and pensioners. 

Tripura Meghalaya government had increased DA
It may be mentioned that earlier, while giving a big gift to the pensions of its employees, the Tripura government had announced an increase of 12 percent in their dearness allowance. Along with this, the Meghalaya government also announced a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance for its employees. Now the Orissa government has given a big gift to the employees before the new year.

Center had increased DA in September
According to the Seventh Pay Commission, the dearness allowance is increased twice a year to the employees under the figure of AICPI index. The dearness allowance is revised by the central government every six months. The first hike is implemented in the month of January to March while the second hike is implemented in July. In September 2022, the dearness allowance was increased to 38 percent by the central government.

Amount will increase in the account
After which the state government also announced an increase in dearness allowance for its employees. With this increase, now the amount of 20000 to ₹ 25000 will increase in the account of the employees. Actually they have to pay the arrears of 6 months. In such a situation, an increase will be seen in his account from January 2023.
